Honey and Garlic Glazed Salmon with Mushrooms
Freshness and sweetness in one dish!
I like to eat fish at least one time during the week. Most of the time, salmon is my favorite choice for a simple reason: it has enough flavor by itself.
You can cook a salmon fillet with a pinch of salt and pepper and it would taste good. Besides, it matches with a wide variety of veggies.
This time I made a sweet glaze with honey and the spicy and strong flavor of a few garlic cloves. The glaze is so simple and works really well without taking away the natural flavor of the salmon.
I love this dish so bad. Will also loves it specially because of the mushrooms. White mushrooms are the perfect sponge for this glaze. Every bite is a mini explosion of sweet and flavor.
- 150 gr small white mushrooms
- 400 gr salmon fillet 2 pieces
- White pepper
- Olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon juice
Preheat the oven to 220ºC
Mix the lemon with the honey. In a small pan over medium heat, pour a little bit of olive oil and add the garlic cloves chopped. Cook it for a couple minutes and then add the honey and lemon mix and stir for 5 minutes until the glaze is done.
In a big oven pan put the salmon fillets seasoned with white pepper, thyme and salt.
Add the mushrooms around the salmon.
With a brush cover the salmon and the mushrooms with ½ of the glaze. Take the pan to the oven for 10 minutes.
Brush the salmon with the rest of the glaze and take it to the oven in broil mode for 10 minutes.
