Pan con tomate, pan tumaca or “Pa amb tomàquet” (in catalan) is a classic Spanish tapa that is often served as breakfast too. Easy, delicious and with fresh ingredients.

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 big ripe firm tomato
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (+ a drizzle to garnish)
  • Salt and pepper
  1. 1.- Toast the slices of bread. Either using the oven or in the stovetop.
  2. Grate the tomato and the garlic to create a sauce. Add the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Top the bread with the sauce and it’s ready to serve. You can add extra olive oil on top.
