Pesto Sauce from Scratch

Ingredients

ground walnuts

basil leaves washed

olive oil

grated parmesan cheese

garlic cloves minced
Instructions
Crush the basil leaves until a paste is formed. (note 1)
Add the parmesan (note 2), the walnut, the garlic and the oil. Mix well.
Notes
Preferably use a mortar, but in case you don't have one you can use a sharp knife and cut energetically until the paste is formed.
Grate the parmesan using the finest part of your grater.
