Spanish Bread with Tomato

Pan con tomate, pan tumaca or “Pa amb tomàquet” (in catalan) is a classic Spanish tapa that is often served as breakfast too. Easy, delicious and with fresh ingredients.

  • A grater

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 big ripe firm tomato
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (+ a drizzle to garnish)
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • 1.- Toast the slices of bread. Either using the oven or in the stovetop.
  • Grate the tomato and the garlic to create a sauce. Add the olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Top the bread with the sauce and it’s ready to serve. You can add extra olive oil on top.
