Oven Baked Honey and Sriracha Pork Ribs

Sharing is caring!

Delicious finger licking oven-baked honey and sriracha pork ribs. Every piece of tender meat releases so easily from the bone. This recipe gives me the perfect pork ribs every time.

These pork ribs are the perfect addition to a game night or a Stranger Things marathon (2 seasons on Netflix and still haven’t watch it, shame on me).

The sauce of these ribs is pure gold. It’s a balanced mix of sweet and spicy flavor. The honey allows the glossy and sticky finish that I love. If you don’t have sriracha you can use finely chopped chili to give the spicy flavor.

The trick to making the meat tender is to cook it in the oven over low heat and flip the ribs to make sure both sides are well cooked. At the end of the baking process I put the ribs into broil mode and at a higher temperature to form the perfect gloss. This way you get the glaze outside and tender pork meat on the inside.

Every time you have to flip the ribs you will add a little more of the sweet and spicy sauce and with the help of a brush, you can also cover the ribs in their own juice. There is where the flavor is. Make sure to brush well the top of the ribs.

After the ribs are ready, you can sprinkle with sesame seed, which will stick to the glossiest ribs ever.

I really hope you like this easy way to make oven baked pork ribs with a sweet and spicy twist. I see you in the next recipe 🙂

Ingredients

  • 600 gr pork ribs
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Sesame seeds

Honey and Sriracha sauce

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp sriracha
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 175C (347 F)
  • Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and heat in a pan over medium heat for a couple minutes until it’s thick like a glaze.
  • Season the ribs with salt, oregano, black pepper and garlic powder.
  • With a brush, cover the ribs with the glaze and take it to the oven for 10 minutes. After that, flip the ribs and brush again with glaze. Repeat this process 3-4 times. (note 1).
  • After the ribs are fully cooked add the rest of the glaze (note 2). Place the ribs bones arched up and put it in the oven for 5 minutes in broil mode and up the temperature to 200 C (392 F).
  • Cut the ribs and top with some sesame seeds.

Notes

  1. This time will vary according to the thickness of your ribs. For 600 gr of ribs, the minimum amount of time for cooking should be 30 minutes and the maximum 40 minutes.
  2. Use the liquid that remains in the bottom of the sheet pan. Here is where the real flavor is. This is a mix of the pork flavor and the glaze. Brush this over the meat before putting the pork in broil mode. This gives that glossy and sticky finish.
